Poor Performance
Investigations into poor performance are most frequently requested after loss of form. In these horses there is a known ability and then a period where the animal is incapable of performing at the required level. Our investigations of these horses includes extensive haematology and biochemistry profiling, endoscopy of the upper and lower respiratory tract, cardiac ultrasound and electrocardiography. We can also evaluate other aspects of metabolism using techniques such as muscle biopsy, urinalysis, stress testing and hormone assays.
