Video Endoscopy
The Practice has a range of flexible and rigid video endoscopes. These devices give us the opportunity to explore various cavities to aid in the diagnosis of suspected problems. Most commonly, the upper airway is "scoped" to identify structural abnormalities of the pharynx or larynx or evidence of infectious disease of the lower airway and lung. Other areas of the body that can be explored include ear canals, sinuses, urinary tract and bladder, uterus, abdominal cavity. Most of these areas can be explored in the standing sedated horse.
