Tamworth Equine Veterinary Centre has a strong reputation & vast experience for stallion semen freezing and equine reproduction services, which is why we have created the specialised division -Conception Equine Reproduction. Our Conception Equine Reproduction Division provides equine reproduction services to the Tamworth district and Australia wide. With facilities currently at Tamworth Equine Veterinary Centre and 400 acres under development directly opposite the Australian Equine & Livestock Events Centre. We will have dedicated staff focused solely on reproduction, a new laboratory building, yards & more grazing pastures, we have the capacity to cater for all your breeding needs. We provide services to a large number of visiting broodmares for artificial breeding programs, have years of experience in equine artificial insemination and are particularly well equipped for dealing with the breeding of mares using frozen semen & collection of stallions for chilled shipment or freeze processing.

Equine semen freezing: A professional service
In order to properly collect, evaluate, prepare and transport equine semen, the right technology, skill and technicians are essential. At Conception Equine, our fully-equipped, computerized laboratory is used by certified technicians to provide the highest quality semen evaluation. As a Select Breeders Services Laboratory, we achieve the quality control, maximum longevity and optimal preparation of the semen before freezing.
Established as the centre of the Quarterhorse industry in Australia, Tamworth continues to be the ideal location for stallions to be located for breeding. With excellent freight services by road and air there are obvious advantages in standing stallions at Conception Equine for the breeding season. Stallions reside at the Centre farm or visit on a daily "on demand" basis for collection and shipment of semen. We train stallions for artificial breeding, evaluate reproductive performance, and perform semen analysis.
