Embryo Transfer
We have been involved in embryo transfer in horses for 25 years, Dr Stuart Keller having provided embryos for the first Equine Embryo Transfer course for veterinarians in Australia in 1984. In the last few years demand for embryo transfer services has seen the practice increase its herd of recipients to almost fifty mares. We provide ET services on a 3 flush contract, giving the owner of the donor ample opportunity to get a settled embryo in a recipient. We are routinely using frozen semen in donor mares and some donors enter the program for a multiple flush plan using different sires. With the expansion of our properties we are now able to offer long term agistment for pregnant recipient mares
We are developing the technology to be able to freeze embryos for long term storage.
